I am not complaining about my macs performance but I put them on the shelf temporarily to have them repaired. First on the list is my macbook: Definitely no problem with its performance but my keyboard stained with black marks. Taking advantage of the 1 year warranty, i brought it to powermac San Juan for a check up. As of yesterday, they updated me and told me that they are going to replace the top case with a new one (woohoo). As to when I can get it back, I hope i can get it next week.
As for my mac mini, it went down due to wear and tear. it’s been serving me way beyond my expectations from day 1 and finally crashed after 2 years. I am to blame for this for I keep it on for long times and at a room that is in no way near an ideal condition for these gadgets (no aircon and insane heat). I tried repairing it but it takes ages for progress until it showed those dreaded I/O errors. I brought this to powermac megamall. I hate to say this but of all the powermac stores that I have been through, this was the most shabby treatment that I got (yeah because they just sold a new Imac and a new powermac to someone else compared to me where I just went there for repair. Not to mention that after waiting for 30 minutes they realized that I only wanted them to receive my unit and everything was over in just 10 minutes. Anyway the person who attended to me was friendly enough to forgive the first person who attended to me). I just finished having my LCD checked on also. Damn, it appears that all of my gadgets are in the “hospital”.
Check out the new imac , freaking awesome. I am now tempted to sell my macbook and mac mini. Are there any takers?
Have you ever felt a birthday that is like an ordinary day? Yeah birthdays are ordinary days for other people but for yourself it should always be special.
Have you ever felt that no one remembers your special day? Yeah for sure the people that you are with at the very time of your birthday will remember, but those who aren’t there…..have you felt they have forgotten your birthday?
Yes it sucks, really sucks big time. Yeah some people remember, some don’t. Some respect your special day and some don’t. Especially when you are used to celebrating the day with your family, friends, loved ones and greetings from some of your acquaintances.
The day has passed, and it’s almost night time, there’s something inside you that expects that people will somewhat remember your day, but they didn’t. Makes your special day kind of ordinary, which makes you think your friends are just there when everything is cool, when there are no problems, and you have money to throw at….
You checked your phone, still no messages…makes you want to cry. Frustration sets in so you powered your phone off, but then, you told yourself, no need to ruin your day. There are still a few hours left before your special day is gone. why sulk when you can be happy for the very reason that it is your day, your moment, which makes it special.
Congratulate yourself for being talking yourself out of being blue, and eventually opening your phone. Oh crap! now the messages are coming in, and they are really making your phone insane. One message after another, giving birthday greetings as early morning and as late as 10 minutes ago. And so you thought you were forgotten?
Lesson for the day:Â reboot your phone on your birthday and give yourself a spank for ranting
